What is chicken bouillon powder?
Chicken bouillon powder or vegan chicken broth seasoning powder or vegan chicken stock powder are used interchangeably amongst the dietary communities, but they are all one in the same. No matter what name is used, this seasoning is a mock version of the animal based product but is used in the same fashion.
Vegan chicken stock powder, in its homemade varieties, offers a range of benefits over its store bought animal based counterpart. The plant based powdered chicken bouillon is, more times than not, a healthier choice and a more flavorful one. This is because homemade vegan chicken stock powder doesn’t have any additives like MSG (mono sodium glutamate). As a matter of fact, this vegan chicken broth seasoning powder is gluten free, grain free, sugar free, and low fat!

Granulated Garlic and Onion
Dehydrated garlic and onion are key ingredients in any spice mixes. This one is no exception. You can use garlic powder and onion powder if you don’t have granulated.
The combination of parsley, thyme, sage, and oregano offer the perfect balance for this vegan chicken stock powder. In the right ratios, they complement the other spices perfectly.
Celery salt offers a salty bite and a pleasant aromatic aesthetic. These factors mesh well with the other ingredients, further solidifying the recipe.
Turmeric and Paprika
Both used primarily for color and secondarily for flavor. These two ingredients tie everything together in a since.

Powdered Chicken Bouillon Tips and Tricks
Make Sure Your Spices are up to Date
If your spices are outdated, then your spice mix won’t be awesome no matter how hard you try. The USDA says that your spices will last up to 2-3 years, but if you are holding your spices that long, you should probably just replace them anyways.
Check the Spice Labels
It’s imperative you CHECK the back of your spice labels. Sometimes manufacturers can sneak unwanted ingredients in there like MSG, Gluten, or Dairy.
Make this recipe fit your needs! You may like certain spices more than others. Once you try my recipe, make some tweaks to it, and make it yours! You can literally add any spices you want to this recipe and I bet you it will rock! Do YOU!
Use a Food Processor
If you don’t have one its not the end of the world, you can still make this recipe fine. I just like using the food processor because its easier to use the pulse function. Using this pulse function really helps out because if you blend the vegan chicken stock powder to much it turns into a puree.
Be sure to keep your vegan chicken stock powder in an airtight container, I like to use a glass jar with a good seal! You always want to find a cool, and dry space to store this spice to preserve its freshness longer! Another tip on storage is to make sure you keep this spice, and all others, out of direct light for long periods of time.
